From October 22th to 24th, AITIVA will organize the 21st edition of the Congress EUROCOAT. The excellent situation and functionality of Piacenza Expo will allow both events, exhibition and congress, harmonizing all the synergies of the sector.
Eurocoat 2013 Congress will be the go-to convention for the entire colour industry, with AITIVA bringing together all the major associations in the sector, together with valuable contributions from academic bodies and input from industry technical publications.
The convention themes will address the serious crisis that we are experiencing, maintaining that the key means for tackling the crisis will be, among others: INNOVATION, SPECIALISM, URBAN REDEVELOPMENT and TRAINING,
which will all be discussed at the upcoming EUROCOAT 2013
INNOVATION will contain various sub-themes, one of the most important being SMART COATING technologies. Today, smart technologies mean intelligent innovation in the world of materials, which also encompasses paint-related products. New polymers, pigments and biocides only react if stimulated and prompted by changes in certain environmental parameters, such as UV radiation, pH, oxidising or reducing agents, and so on. They alter the properties of the final product, allowing their performance to be optimised to make them environmentally-friendly.
SPECIALISM - “Exterior and interior decorative finishes" – applying decorative paint finishes to walls is a uniquely Italian specialism, and genuine decorative paints are a uniquely Italian area of expertise – MADE IN ITALY. The decorative finishes produced in Italy are highly sought-after the world over, and testament to the skill of the Italian makers who have created high-performance paints with tactile material effects, renowned by architects, designers and all those who use colour to set trends. The manufacturing companies that created the Made in Italy story will be at Eurocoat 2013, presenting their successful products and latest developments on the theme of decoration. The most prominent companies in the decoration sector will be in attendance, providing their own technical and cultural contribution.
URBAN REDEVELOPMENT of historical centres, suburbs of neglected areas, the social functions of colour as an opportunity for growth.
A range of significant positive experiences will be presented at a congress, demonstrating that the cohesion of public/private sectors, if facilitated and guided, can not only work but become a commonplace stimulus for development.
TRAINING - if we are to take advantage of new technologies, we need to be properly equipped. Eurocoat will provide the opportunity to delve into further detail and refine knowledge of energy saving through applicative overcoat systems.
