¡The cost! An approach from the innovation
From October 2-4th, AETEPA (Spanish Association of Technical People in Paintings and Related) will organize the 20º edition of the Congress - exhibition EUROCOAT. The excellent situation and functionality of the Palau de Congressos of Barcelona is going to allow both events, exhibition and congress, harmonizing all the synergies of the sector.
The Exhibition, powered by ETAI, constitutes the ideal shop window for the presentation of innovations, technologies and experiences of the industrial sectors of the South of Europe and of the Mediterranean shore. AETEPA, for its part, is going to promote that the Congress EUROCOAT 2012 turns into a forum of debate for all persons, institutions, groups and unions being interested in the technological and scientific aspects of paintings and coatings taking into account to all the protagonists of the Chain of the Color and the Painting, as in previous editions.
Finally, AETEPA will have the support of the technical associations AITIVA (Italy), AFTPA (France), APTETI (Portugal) and ARTILAC (Romania), members all of the UATCM (Union of Associations of Technical People of the Mediterranean Culture).
Related to the topic of the congress, the economic context more than a crisis, is a global change that forces all us to adapt to the new circumstances. The experts do not foresee any relief in the cost of the principal raw materials for paintings and printing inks. Neither it is necessary to wait for significant changes in other costs of production. As consequence, throughout the year that comes the manufacturers of painting and printing inks will have to look for alternative ways to attack the pressures on the costs. The same scenario is waited for the other costs of production. AETEPA has wanted to put on the table this topic approaching the problem of the cost of the whole chain of value of the painting and it will realize parallel meetings that will attend the raw materials, the formulation and manufacture of paint, the processes of packaging, packing, stored and transport of paint, the use of paint (all the processes of application, film formation and drying), the cost of the identical one and his alternatives and the life cycle of the same ones.
The Organizing Committee of the Congress EUROCOAT 2012 has its work already very advanced. We do not doubt that it offers a extremely attractive offers. Barcelona, from its part, promises its best, full of art and modernity.
