Cutom manufacturing for coatings: from molecule to ton-scale production (agents polymers additives...)
Industrial paints and coatings rely on specific application agents (wetting agents, dispersants, surface tension modifiers) and on functional polymers or polymer precursors that determine film formation and final performance. These materials are often tailor-made, but their industrialization raises major challenges: process robustness, HSE constraints, reproducibility, cost control and supply security.
Based on concrete industrial examples, this workshop shows how custom manufacturing helps secure these critical steps, supports scale-up, and enables an efficient transition from lab to ton-scale production while reducing the industrial burden for paint manufacturers.
