Incozol® 2
Oxazolidine moisture scavenger for use in polyurethane coatings and sealants.
Incozol 2 acts as an effective moisture scavenger in polyurethane coatings and sealants. It is used to eliminate moisture from solvents, polyols and prepolymers and also from plasticisers and pigments. It removes residual moisture from the formulation and prevents bubbling and down-glossing caused by high moisture levels either on the substrate or from the atmosphere. Incozol 2 is used in one or two component systems but is not generally recommended in one component systems with a low NCO content.
- Produces bubble-free coatings by preventing CO2 gas; improving chemical and physical resistance
- Eliminates surface defects such as pin-holing and hazing, which would otherwise lead to a loss of gloss in two component systems
- Confers tolerance to repeated opening of paint containers - preventing gelling in one component moisture cure systems
Incozol® 4
Incozol 4 is a bis-oxazolidine curing agent, which hydrolyses on exposure to moisture, yielding a reactive amine and hydroxyl functional cross-linking agent. Incozol 4 can be used in both one and two component PU systems. In one component systems it is normally used with aliphatic prepolymers. In two component systems it can also be used with aromatic prepolymers or isocyanates.

Incozol® LV
Incozol LV is a reactive diluent designed to help producers of polyurethane coatings and sealants attain low VOC systems. It is used in the formulation of two component coatings where Incozol LV replaces a portion of the polyol component, for example, automotive refinish and OEM coatings.
- Can be used as a multi-functional curing agent, enabling greater formulation flexibility
- Has the low viscosity required for spray applications
- No effect on gloss, hardness, resistance, cure or pot life characteristics
