Silane Modified Polyether (SMP) is a hybrid polymer combining the flexibility of polyether backbones with the moisture-curing reactivity of silane groups. SMP polymers cure through reaction with ambient moisture to form elastic, durable materials without the release of solvents or isocyanates.
Our SMP product portfolio covers a wide viscosity range, from low-viscosity reactive diluents to high-viscosity base polymers, enabling formulators to precisely adjust modulus, elongation, strength, and curing behavior. The products are supplied as viscous liquids and are suitable for both low- and high-modulus systems.
SMP polymers offer excellent elastic recovery, strong adhesion to a wide range of substrates, weather resistance, and low shrinkage, while being isocyanate-free and low-VOC. They are widely used in sealants, construction and building adhesives, industrial adhesives, waterproof coatings, home improvement products, and prefabricated building systems, providing a balanced combination of mechanical performance, durability, and environmental compatibility.
